We are looking for a results-driven, hands-on Warehouse & Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our end-to-end warehouse and distribution operations.
This role is critical to ensuring that our products are stored, handled, and delivered with maximum efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
Role Purpose
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics coordination. The role requires a strong leader who can drive operational excellence, maintain compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and build a motivated, high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Operations Management
· Oversee the receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
· Maintain optimal warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
· Monitor and ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
· Ensure all equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is maintained and serviced on schedule.
Inventory & Stock Control
· Implement effective stock management systems to maintain accurate and real-time inventory records.
· Conduct regular stock counts and investigate any discrepancies.
· Plan and coordinate replenishment schedules to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
Logistics & Distribution
· Plan and manage transport schedules for timely deliveries to retail outlets.
· Liaise with suppliers, transport providers, and customs (where applicable) to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
· Track delivery performance and implement corrective measures where necessary.
Team Leadership & Development
· Recruit, train, and manage warehouse and logistics staff.
· Set clear KPIs, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
· Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement & Reporting
· Analyze warehouse and transport operations to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
· Introduce technology and process improvements to enhance productivity.
· Prepare and present weekly and monthly operational reports to management.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or logistics management role, preferably in the FMCG sector.
· Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
· Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse best practices.
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication skills in English (Maltese is an asset).
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred
· Experience with ERP software.
· Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
· Forklift operation certification.
