We are looking for an experienced Accounts Clerk to support the Accounts department and carry out day-to-day accounting tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Record and process accounts records
- Prepare, check and issue invoices, receipts and payments
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivables
- Reconcile bank statements
- Prepare general ledger postings and statements
- Assist senior accounting personnel with any tasks conducted within the accounts department or any tasks that require accounting personnel to take part.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal teams regarding payments and accounts queries
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance related role
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures
- Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
- Strong numerical and data entry skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word) and familiarity with SAGE accounting package
- Good communicator in Maltese and English, and interpersonal skills
- Organized, reliable and able to handle confidential information responsibly
Qualifications
- A-levels or diploma in Accounting, Finance of Business
