daves Food Stores is currently looking to recruit an clerk to join our HR/Payroll Team.
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll & HR Clerk to join our team at the Head Office of daves food stores in Mrie?el. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a well-established local retail company and contribute to the efficient handling of our HR and payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and process payroll using Shireburn Indigo software
· Maintain accurate employee records, including attendance, leave, and benefits
· Assist with the onboarding and offboarding of employees
· Prepare and issue employment contracts, letters, and HR-related documentation
· Prepare applications related to third-country nationals
· Manage timekeeping systems and resolve any related discrepancies
· Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality in all HR/payroll processes
· Support compliance with employment regulations and internal policies
· Provide administrative support for the HR and Payroll Department as needed
· Handle queries related to payroll, salaries, and employee benefits
What We’re Looking For:
· Fast and accurate data entry skills
· Proficient in Shireburn Indigo payroll software (this is a must)
· I.T. literate with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
· Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines consistently
· Good understanding of English (spoken and written); knowledge of Maltese is preferred
· Preferably holds a qualification in Human Resources
· Strong organisational and communication skills
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Prior experience in payroll is considered an asset
